Browne Abstract: Aucantene (1) bas been synthesized from propynal in three stages involving the conjugate addition of lithium di-(E)-propenylcuprate to α,β-unsaturated aldehyde 2 as a key step. Résumé : On a synthétisé l'aucaténe (1) à partir du propynal; cette transformation implique trois étapes dont une addition conjuguée du di-(E)-propénylcuprate de lithium à l'aldéhyde α,β nonsaturé 2 comme étape clé.
